| Descrizione | X-Men: Conflitto finale (X-Men: The Last Stand) è un film del 2006 diretto da Brett Ratner. È il terzo capitolo della saga cinematografica sugli X-Men (dopo X-Men e X-Men 2), popolari personaggi dei fumetti della Marvel Comics; la trama del film è liberamente ispirata alla Saga di Fenice Nera.
Vent'anni prima degli eventi del film, Charles Xavier e Erik Lehnsherr offrono il loro aiuto ad una undicenne Jean Grey, una giovane mutante dai poteri potenzialmente illimitati che corre il rischio di essere sopraffatta da essi. Anni dopo gli X-Men apprendono una novità: in collaborazione con il governo degli USA, la società farmaceutica Worthington, il cui fondatore è Warren Worthington II, ha elaborato una cura definitiva per il gene mutante. Il Segretario del Dipartimento degli Affari Mutanti, "Hank" McCoy, si reca dunque da Xavier comunicandogli la notizia.
Alcuni mutanti, come Rogue, vedono il loro potere come una maledizione e decidono di sottoporsi alla cura volontariamente; Magneto, invece, la percepisce come un possibile sterminio della razza mutante e decide così di reclutare un esercito per sottomettere gli esseri umani: tra questi ci sono Callisto, il Fenomeno, l'Uomo Multiplo, Pyro, Kid Omega, Psylocke e Arclight.
Intanto McCoy scopre che il siero è ricavato dal DNA di Jimmy, un ragazzino mutante con l'abilità di annullare i poteri di qualunque suo simile gli si avvicini...
