Una banda di street-racer capeggiata da Packard Walsh (Nick Cassavetes) si diverte ad adescare ragazzi con auto costose e farli gareggiare in corse clandestine. Per adescarli non disdegna di minacciare le loro ragazze. Il loro scopo è farli perdere (anche slealmente) per aggiudicarsi le auto di questi sventurati, che verranno smantellate e rivendute per poter guadagnare soldi per i loro bolidi. La prepotenza, l'arroganza e soprattutto la violenza di Packard fanno sì che tutta la cittadina lo tema, consentendogli di mantenere il suo atteggiamento da bullo in un clima di sostanziale omertà......
Packard Walsh and his motorized gang control and terrorize an Arizona desert town where they force drivers to drag-race so they can 'win' their vehicles. After Walsh stabs the decent teenager Jamie Hankins to death for being intimate with a girl whom Walsh wants for himself, the mysterious Jake Kesey arrives.......
