Descrizione	The Island è un film del 2005 diretto da Michael Bay, uscito nelle sale americane il 22 luglio 2005 e nelle sale italiane il 26 agosto 2005. Il film narra la vita quotidiana di una futuribile società, a metà tra utopia e distopia, i cui membri, senza saperlo, sono "agnati"[1], frutto di una clonazione umana da originali esseri umani. Agli abitanti di questo "mondo" viene fatto credere di essere gli unici sopravvissuti ad una contaminazione globale e che la loro residenza sia l'ultimo luogo rimanente nella natura privo di agenti patogeni, isolato dall'esterno.
