Trama:
Siamo nel Giappone del sedicesimo secolo. Il Paese, privo di un governo centrale, è sconvolto da continue guerre tra i signori feudali che si contendono il potere. Due giovani, Hikage e Maro, crescono come fratelli tra le file dei ninja di Takeda Shingen, grande condottiero e politico illuminato. Ma alla tragica morte di questi (1753) avvenuta in circostanze misteriose, Maro diserta improvvisamente, ferendo a un occhio Hikage. E proprio a Hikage viene affidato il compito di riportare indietro (o uccidere, se necessario) il ninja disertore, ma il suo viaggio attraverso le devastazioni della guerra lo porterà alla scoperta dell’autentica, spaventosa identità di Maro, e dall’agghiacciante filo conduttore che lo lega alla disfatta del clan Takeda
A terrible war has ravaged the land, and now, fueled by the blood of numerous fallen warriors the Yōma, demons from hell, emerge once more. A skilled ninja seeks to end the bloodshed these demons inflict upon humanity, but to do this he must fight against his undead former best friend and fellow ninja who was killed in battle and has been resurrected to serve the Yōma.
