| Descrizione | Oblivion è un film del 2013 scritto, diretto e prodotto da Joseph Kosinski, con protagonista Tom Cruise.
Ambientato in un post-apocalittico 2077, in seguito a un'invasione aliena ed alla conseguente guerra nucleare vinta dai terrestri contro degli extraterrestri chiamati Scavengers, il film ruota intorno a Jack Harper, un tecnico di stanza sulla Terra ormai abbandonata, poiché contaminata dalle radiazioni e stravolta dalla distruzione della Luna. Egli risiede in una casa ancorata alla cima di una montagna insieme a Victoria; il loro compito consiste nel garantire l'integrità e il funzionamento delle Idro-trivelle, giganteschi macchinari che risucchiano l'acqua dagli oceani per creare nuova energia, e pensare alla manutenzione dei Droni, sofisticati robot-guerrieri volanti, programmati per sterminare eventuali Scavengers sopravvissuti e proteggere le Idro-trivelle. La coppia, tramite comunicazioni video, prende ordini da "Sally", una donna che risiede sul Tet, un'immensa colonia spaziale a forma di tetraedro che orbita intorno alla Terra e che ospita gli ultimi sopravvissuti non ancora recatisi su Titano, la nuova dimora scelta dagli umani per sopravvivere. Quando le Idro-trivelle avranno raccolto abbastanza energia per il Tet, Jack e Victoria lasceranno definitivamente la Terra per raggiungere la loro nuova casa...
