Si tratta della seconda compilation di corti di animazione della Pixar, che segue quella del 2007 Pixar Short Collection Volume 1
E' composta di 12 corti che abbracciano un arco temporale compreso tra il 2007 e il 2012 ed include anche sette corti dei registi John Lasseter (Toy Story 1 e Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life), Andrew Stanton (Alla Ricerca di Nemo, WALL-E) e Pete Docter (Monster & Co., Up) realizzati quando erano ancora studenti presso la California Institute of the Arts.

Ma vediamo nel dettaglio i singoli corti che costituiscono questa raccolta, in ordine cronologico.

CONSIDERAZIONI TECNICHE

Il blu-ray non era indicizzabile, dato che era composto da differenti episodi, ognuno con specifiche audio e video diverse. Questo significa che ho dovuto encodare singolarmente ogni episodio, e così li trovate pure nella cartella. Ma questo significa altresì che non ho potuto dare un target file dimensionale all' opera nel suo insieme, per cui ho preferito ragionare in termini di DRF, il che, tutto sommato, mi ha alquanto semplificato le cose, oltre a consentirmi di encodare in singola passata, con apprezzabile risparmio di tempo.
Conseguentemente, per il comparto video ho scelto un target quantizer pari a 2, che rappresenta il massimo in termini di qualità consentito da questo codec.

Per quanto riguarda il comparto audio, tutte le tracce sono Mp3 CBR stereo a 128 kbps

Per quanto riguarda gli extra, ho invece scelto di encodare con target quntizer costante pari a 3 così che non occupassero troppo spazio, e considerato anche che alcuni hanno ben più di 30 anni, per cui inevitabilmente dal punto di vista tecnico non sono granché.
