La storia di amicizia tra un cucciolo e una piccola volpe.

Il cucciolo di volpe Red e il cagnolino Toby si incontrano nel bosco e diventano amici inseparabili. Il segugio però viene addestrato dal suo padrone per la caccia, e ben presto si rende conto che tra le prede ci sarà la sua amica volpe. Quando Toby si trova in grosse difficoltà (è caduto nelle grinfie di un orso), Red non esita a intervenire per tentare di salvargli la vita...
