sua speranza di una fine rapida della guerra che sta portando la Germania alla rovina. Durante un attacco aereo alleato viene ferito gravemente perdendo l'occhio sinistro, la mano destra e
due dita della mano sinistra e viene rimpatriato. Egli non è il solo ufficiale ad esprimere valutazioni fortemente negative sull'operato del dittatore. Infatti, il 13 marzo dello stesso
anno, il generale Henning von Tresckow tenta di uccidere il Führer con una bomba a tempo, caricata con uno stratagemma sull'aereo che da Smolensk lo riporterà in Germania, ma l'attentato
fallisce e, causa l'arresto di uno dei congiurati, si rende necessario trovare un sostituto e la scelta del generale Friedrich Olbricht cade proprio sul giovane colonnello...........
Storyline
In Nazi Germany during World War II, as the tide turned in favor of The Allies, a cadre of senior German officers and politicians desperately plot to topple the Nazi regime before the
nation is crushed in a near-inevitable defeat. To this end, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, an Army officer convinced he must save Germany from Hitler, is recruited to mastermind a real
plan. To do so, he arranges for the internal emergency measure, Operation: Valkyrie, to be changed to enable his fellows to seize control of Berlin after the assassination of the
Fuhrer...................
