RECENSIONE

Dal romanzo Jack's Return Home di Ted Lewis: Jack Carter, piccolo criminale, indaga sulla morte del fratello, ucciso in un brutto giro di malavita, lo vendica e passa al cimitero. Uno dei maggiori pregi di questo violento gangster britannico è l'atmosfera, che richiama i romanzi di Raymond Chandler. Ottima interpretazione di M. Caine. È diventato, anche come precursore di un cinema di morbosa violenza erotica, un cult per gli amanti del noir. Rifatto con attori neri in Hit Man (1972) di George Armitage.
