A Man And A Half è la grande raccolta di tutti i più grandi lavori di Wilson Pickett. Nato nel '41 in Alabama, è stato uno dei grandi cantanti Soul - R&B che ha più influenzato le generazioni successive. Vanta successi come "In the Midnight Hour", e ha reso celebri canzoni come "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love". In attività dal '59 al 2004, ha pubblicato 25 album e tantissimi singoli. Fu ammesso alla Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nel 1991 e due anni dopo ricevette anche il premio Pioniere della Rhythm and Blues Foundation.
Di certo al giorno d'oggi non è molto conosciuto, ma ha dato un grande contributo al R&B nel corso dei suoi 45 anni di carriera! Buon ascolto! |
