TRAMA

Dopo l'abbattimento della sua astronave, un alieno prende le sembianze di un morto. Girando per l'America trova la vedova del defunto che lo aiuterà ad andare all'appuntamento con i suoi conterranei.

RECENSIONE

Jenny è vedova. Una notte, "appare" in casa sua un alieno che acquista le fattezze del defunto marito e la convince ad accompagnarlo in una località dell'Arizona, dove incontrerà i suoi compagni. Da quell'appuntamento dipende il suo futuro. Ma all'alieno danno la caccia l'esercito e i servizi segreti, decisi a bloccargli la via della fuga. Per Jenny quell'avventura sarà all'origine di una nuova vita...

Carpenter racconta una storia dalle risonanze spielberghiane ben diversa a quelle che a cui ci aveva abituato, riuscendo comunque a farla sua. Indimenticabile Jeff Bridges in questo ruolo di uomo venuto dalle stelle, moderno messia per un futuro migliore.
