Durante l'esplorazione di una caverna, tre studenti inglesi scoprono una misteriosa creatura dall'aspetto primitivo. La loro testimonianza, suffragata da alcune fotografie, interessa l'antropologa Brockton che decide di organizzare una spedizione - trasmessa in diretta dalla BBC - per catturare la creatura. Soprannominato "Trog", l'essere è un vero troglodita, metà uomo metà scimmia, anello mancante nella storia dell'evoluzione del genere umano. Storyline
Anthropologist Dr. Brockton (Joan Crawford) unearths a troglodyte (an Ice Age 'missing link" half-caveman, half-ape) and manages to domesticate him - until he's let loose by an irate land developer (Michael Gough) to go on a rampage and kidnap a little girl. Crawford's last feature film.
