Irlanda. John Halloran (Peter Read) muore di un sospetto attacco cardiaco mentre si trova in barca con la moglie Louise (Luana Anders). Secondo una clausola testamentaria Louise non riceverebbe nulla del patrimonio di famiglia: getta quindi il corpo in acqua legato a un’ancora per evitare che venga ritrovato; poi simula un viaggio d’affari all’estero. Il suo intento è di convincere lady Halloran (Ethne Dunn) a riscrivere il testamento. Ma il fratello di John, Richard (William Campbell), arriva e cominciano sanguinosi delitti compiuti con un’ascia.................
