Ok, ok, not all of them can be classified as "rock", I just liked the torrent title....
Among those movies, I'd definitely pick:

- American Graffiti [1973] - George Lucas' comedy about the last night of summer 1962's adventures of a bunch of teenagers
- Jesus Christ Superstar [1973] - Norman Jewison's adaptation of the musical play
- National Lampoon's Animal House [1978] - John Landis' classic frat-house comedy, with John Belushi
- The Blues Brothers [1980] - John Landis' comedy with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd on a "mission from God"
- The Big Chill [1983] - Lawrence Kasdan's successful comedy-drama about an unhappy reunion of former college pals
- Back To The Future [1985] - Robert Zemeckis' film about Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travelling back and forth in a time machine
- Forrest Gump [1994] - Robert Zemeckis' comedy-drama film starring Tom Hanks, based on the 1986 novel by Winston Groom
