TRAMA

Un giovane un po' imbranato libraio inglese (Hugh Grant) conosce e riesce a sedurre un'affascinante star del cinema (Julia Roberts), andata in incognito nel suo negozio nel quartiere londinese di Notting Hill.





RECENSIONE

William Thucker (Hugh Grant) ? un simpatico e imbranato libraio, che lavora nel pi? trendy dei quartieri di Londra, Notting Hill.
Il caso vuole che nella sua libreria entri in incognito Anna Scott, una famosa e affascinante star del cinema, che si innamorer? ben presto di William, ovviamente ricambiata. Non mancheranno gli ostacoli e gli imprevisti che mineranno la loro storia d'amore, ma il lieto fine ? da considerare scontato.
Girato per buona parte a Londra da Roger Mitchell (famoso negli Stati Uniti per la serie tv "The Buddha of Suburbia", il film riprende l'idea del piccolo libraio utilizzata in "C'? post@ per te", e conta su un Grant perfettamente calato nel ruolo e ormai diventato un assoluto protagonista nelle commedie brillanti dopo il successo avuto con "Quattro matrimoni e un funerale". E di questo film ? anche lo sceneggiatore Richard Curtis, (ideatore tra l'altro della serie tv Mister Bean e quindi apprezzatissimo sceneggiatore comico) che riesce a far andare il film sulla stessa falsariga del precedente, in maniera molto divertente e mai volgare. Bella come sempre la Roberts, ma in secondo piano rispetto a Hugh Grant. Finora strepitoso trionfo al botteghino al punto da contrastare Guerre Stellari, non ? solo un film per inguaribili romantici, ma per tutti coloro che vogliono godersi una bella fiaba, romantica ? vero, ma anche molto divertente.
