I NOFX sono una band punk rock, nata nel 1983 a Berkeley, California. Il gruppo si ispira fortemente ai gruppi punk americani (Ramones, Misfits, Bad Religion e Rich Kids on LSD) e attualmente gode di una notevole popolarità. Nei primi album il gruppo esprimeva un sound tipicamente hardcore punk e tre dei suoi quattro componenti (cioè escluso il bassista e cantante Fat Mike) seguivano lo stile di vita tipico del movimento straight edge mentre dal 1991, con l'entrata del chitarrista El Hefe e il definitivo consolidarsi del gruppo, ha virato verso un hardcore melodico con influenze ska punk e pop punk. I loro testi trattano generalmente di politica, società, sottocultura punk, razzismo, industria della musica e di religione spesso usando molta ironia e doppi sensi. Sebbene non abbiano mai firmato con alcuna major e abbiano sempre pubblicato i propri lavori con un'etichetta discografica indipendente, e sebbene si siano sempre rifiutati di apparire su MTV, i NOFX hanno raggiunto una elevata notorietà mondiale arrivando a vendere oltre 6 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo.

NOFX is an American punk rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1983 in Los Angeles. The band was formed by vocalist and bassist Fat Mike and guitarist Eric Melvin. Drummer Erik Sandin joined them shortly afterward. In 1991 El Hefe joined to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the
current line-up. The band rose to popularity in 1994 with their album Punk in Drublic which was certified gold, and is now considered a classic punk album by fans and critics alike.
NOFX has released 11 studio albums, 15 EPs and a number of 7" singles. The group has sold over 6 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful independent acts of all time. The band also aired their own show on Fuse TV entitled NOFX: Backstage Passport.

Questa raccolta è composta da 27 brani, tratti da quasi tutte le loro pubblicazioni: vi sono presenti infatti tutte o quasi le canzoni più conosciute dei quattro californiani; pezzi indimenticabili come "Don't Call Me White", "Bob" e "Day To Daze", tanto per citarne alcune tra quelle più datate, ma naturalmente sono presenti anche molti pezzi tratti dagli ultimi loro lavori come il brano d'apertura "Dinosaurs Will Die" e "Bottles To The Ground". Dal loro ultimo disco "The War On Errorism" si ha invece "The Separation Of Church And Skate", "Idiots Are Taking Over" ed il singolo "Franco Un-American". La raccolta propone come ultima traccia un brano inedito intitolato "Wore Out Soles Of My Party Boots", coinvolgente pezzo dal tipico marchio NOFX che conferma le qualità note ormai a tutti coloro che apprezzano Fat Mike e soci.
Questa raccolta, edita da Epitaph e non Fat Wreck come il loro ultimo disco, è adatta a tutti, dai fans più affezionati per avere una specie di riassunto della storia dei quattro, a quelle pochissime persone che non li conoscono, ma che prima di questo disco farebbero bene ad avere tutti gli altri nessuno escluso. Forse la scelta dei brani non soddisferà tutti, ad esempio un brano simbolo come "The Brews" non può mancare in un "best of" dei NOFX, ma sono comunque giudizi personali. Ad ogni modo loro hanno deciso per questi pezzi, sta a chi ama questo gruppo decidere quali sono le canzoni che preferiscono.
