Jersey Boys, film diretto da Clint Eastwood, racconta la genesi dei The Four Seasons, una delle più iconiche rock band degli anni Sessanta. La storia ha inizio nel 1961 in un malfamato quartiere di Belleville, nel New Jersey, dove vivono i giovani Tommy DeVito (Vincent Piazza), Nick Massi, Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young) e Bob Gaudio.
Tra un piccolo crimine e l’altro, Tommy e Nick amano suonare insieme, finché incontrano il sedicenne Frankie, dotato di una voce eccezionale. Il talento vocale del ragazzo viene notato anche dal mafioso locale Angelo 'Gyp' DeCarlo (Christopher Walken), che lo prende sotto la sua ala protettiva. Per assicurarsi il successo della band, Tommy decide di permettere a Frankie di divenire il frontman, oltre ad ingaggiare Bob come paroliere.
Grazie al falsetto di Frankie, che fa letteralmente impazzire il pubblico femminile, il successo del quartetto sembra assicurato. Tuttavia non mancano i problemi che rischiano di mettere a repentaglio il futuro della band, tra cui questioni economiche, rivalità e tensioni tra i membri del gruppo e il coinvolgimento nella malavita di Belleville...
