Gli Intoccabili è un film drammatico del 1987 diretto da Brian De Palma.
Chicago, 1930. Durante l'epoca del Proibizionismo, la città è governata dal terribile boss mafioso Al Capone (Robert De Niro), che dopo aver preso il controllo della malavita cittadina, si dedica con profitto al commercio illegale di alcool. Per poter gestire tranquillamente quest’attività, corrompe le massime personalità cittadine e della polizia, facendosele così "amiche".
Eliott Ness (Kevin Costner), un agente del Tesoro, viene incaricato di formare una squadra per combattere il criminale e i suoi scagnozzi. All’inizio, a causa della corruzione nel dipartimento di polizia, le retate organizzate falliscono, portando Ness allo sconforto. Una notte però l'agente federale incontra Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery), un poliziotto irlandese di pattuglia: colpito dalla sua integrità morale, decide di includerlo nella missione.
Oltre a lui, Ness recluta George Stone (Andy Garcia), un giovane italo-americano dal carattere forte, e anche Oscar Wallace, un contabile inviato da Washington che cerca di incastrare Al Capone usando i suoi movimenti finanziari.
Da questo momento le indagini del team vanno a buon fine e riescono a fare grandi arresti. Tutto ciò infastidisce il boss, che inizia a minacciare la squadra e tenta di corromperla, senza però riuscirci. Ma la strada per combattere la corruzione e cambiare la storia di Chicago è lastricata di pericoli...
