Inciso da Ponty (violino, organo,piano elettrico, pianoforte) con Allan Zavod (tastiere, synth), Joaquin Lievano (chitarre elettriche ed acustiche, chitarra sintetizzatore), Jamie Glaser (chitarra elettrica), Ralphe Armstrong (basso elettrico fretless) e Casey Scheurell (batteria, percussioni), E' un lavoro di jazz fusion melodica ed elegante, in cui Ponty sembra cercare un equilibrio fra un approccio accessibile ed a tratti quasi pop, e notevoli espressioni di virtuosismo tecnico, evidenti in particolare nei passaggi piu' dinamici ed intricati.
Violinista francese di grandissimo talento, Jean-Luc Ponty, dopo un inizio nel jazz d'avanguardia, passa all'elettrificazione jazz rock divenendo uno dei maggiori esponenti europei del genere.
Suona con Zappa e la Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Negli anni '80 arriva il grande successo con strepitose vendite in tutta Europa. |
