Una bambina si traferisce con la madre in un nuovo quartiere. Qui dovrà impegnarsi nello studio secondo un planning estremamente articolato elaborato dalla madre la quale, donna in carriera, vuole assolutamente che la figlia si inserisca nei corsi della prestigiosa Accademia Werth finalizzata a formare i manager del futuro. Il nuovo vicino di casa è un anziano aviatore che prende a raccontare alla bambina del suo incontro, avvenuto tanti anni prima nel deserto africano, con un Piccolo Principe giunto sulla Terra dopo un lungo viaggio tra gli asteroidi. La bambina inizialmente sembra voler resistere alla narrazione ma progressivamente se ne fa catturare.
