| Descrizione | \"Treehouse of Horror XVIII\" is the fifth episode of The Simpsons\' nineteenth season and first aired on November 4, 2007. It is the eighteenth Treehouse of Horror episode. It was written by Marc Wilmore and directed by Chuck Sheetz.
In the opening sequence, Marge talks about Halloween being \"last week\" and suddenly various logos pop up on the screen, including the mini logos for American Idol, Fox Sports, Prison Break, Cops, House and 24. Marge ends up killing several miniature characters that pop up from the logos, including football players, Dr. House and Jack Bauer and bakes them into bread where they spell out the credits.
E.T., Go Home
Bart decides to \"wander shamelessly\" into the garden, where he finds Kodos in the garden shed. Bart takes him upstairs where Kodos begins venting her rude attitude on Bart and several idols Bart shows her. Lisa arrives and is happy with the alien in their home. While in the shower, Kodos begins (reluctantly) to seduce Homer, who was under the impression that she was Marge. Bart and Lisa decide to help Kodos obtain devices that she can use to contact her home planet, though her rude attitude begins to frustrate Lisa. When NASA agents arrive at the Simpsons home, Bart sneaks Kodos out, though, much to his shock, Kodos kills several agents along the way. Finally, when Kodos successfully gets the connection with her home planet to work, more aliens arrive, as well as more humans. After a brief war, the humans win, and the segment ends with Homer committing vivisection upon Kodos. According to Marge, the whole point of the story is to \"judge a book by it\'s cover.\"
Mr. and Mrs. Simpson
Homer and Marge attend marriage counseling. When arriving home, Homer locks himself in the bathroom and communicates on a hidden flat screen television, where it is revealed Homer, an assassin, is assigned to eliminate the reporter, Kent Brockman, by order of his boss, Mr. Burns. When he arrives at the party, a woman with large blonde hair (who Homer dubs \"the Mystery Skank\" however, kills Kent Brockman instead. After Homer attempts to repeatedly shoot the woman, he manages to shoot the wig off her head, revealing it is Marge, also an assassin. Arriving home, the two avoid each other\'s eyes, and Marge makes an excuse for the blonde wig. Not long after, the two attempt to kill one another with various weapons such as grenades, rifles, and machine guns. After killing Chief Wiggum, the two realize they are more attracted with one another when they kill someone together. For this, they soon begin \"snuggling\" over Chief Wiggum and they both realized that they did not need any marriage counseling, but to kill people together. In the end, it turns out that they were not talking to a marriage counselor, but to Principal Skinner regarding Bart\'s misbehavior. Both Homer and Marge turn a blind eye to Bart\'s misbehavior and shoot Principal Skinner instead.
Heck House
Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, and Nelson pull pranks on Halloween night and, after they go too far, Ned Flanders turns the church into a living heck house. Gaining supernatural powers from God, he subjects the kids to his wrath. He brings up a screen revealing Springfield is full of the Seven Deadly Sins; the first clip shows Homer suffering through gluttony, where he transforms into pasta; the second shows Groundskeeper Willie beating up his tractor in wrath; the third has Doctor Hibbert with a bumper sticker that brags about his son in pride; the fourth has Homer suffering sloth, where he is chopped off by a hammock; lust, greed, and envy had Moe in lust for a stripper, greed for all her money, and envy \"for [his] balls\". The segment ends with Ned telling the viewer that they are going to Hell for watching FOX and its affiliates.

When Lisa reads out the list of materials Kodos needs, one of the materials listed is \"Two tickets to Avenue Q\".
Groundskeeper Willie\'s tractor transforms into a robot and kills him, parodying Transformers.
The scene where Homer is across the street from Kent Brockman (in which he assembles his gun from a suitcase and thinks of a clever line to say), is a parody of the James Bond movie Licence To Kill, where Timothy Dalton is in the precise same situation assembling his gun and says a clever line.
The Hell that Ned conjures in \"Heck House\" uses the imagery of Dutch painter, Hieronymus Bosch.
\"Gleep Glop\" is a reference to a sketch on Mr. Show with Bob and David called \"Racist in the Year 3000\" that appeared in the episode 403 \"Show Me Your Weenis\" which aired on November 2, 1998. On \"Mr. Show\" it is the name of a robotic bartender in the future, and the term \"keep \'em coming, Gleep Glop\" became one of the most-quoted from the show. Both \"The Simpsons\" and \"Mr. Show\" featured Bill Odenkirk as a writer. |
