COMMENTO

Da un romanzo di Jim Thompson, adattato e sceneggiato da Walter Hill, Peckinpah dirige l'unico poliziesco della sua carriera. Il regista del "Mucchio selvaggio" trasforma in un western contemporaneo la fuga verso la libertà del rapinatore e della sua bella e coraggiosa moglie. Trappole mortali, un inseguimento all'ultimo respiro e un finale imprevedibile. Del film è stato girato nel 1994 un opaco remake.
