Trama:
La cometa di Halley, di passaggio vicino alla Terra, è oggetto di studio da parte di un gruppo di scienziati a bordo dello shuttle Churchill. Nella coda del corpo celeste gli studiosi individuano la presenza di un misterioso oggetto che, dopo un'attenta analisi, risulta essere una gigantesca astronave aliena. Usciti in esplorazione, il colonnello Tom Carlsen e i suoi colleghi, trovano all'interno della nave alcune bare di cristallo contenenti tre umanoidi ibernati, una donna e due uomini. Dopo aver caricato le bare a bordo del Churchill, ad uno ad uno, tutti i membri dell'equipaggio muoiono in circostanze misteriose. Passano i giorni e dalla Terra viene inviata una squadra di soccorso per salvare gli eventuali superstiti ma nessuno è sopravissuto tranne i tre umanoidi. Portati a Londra per essere studiati, questi strani alieni (copie perfette di splendidi esseri umani) si risvegliano dal loro torpore e cominciano ad uccidere mostrando ciò che veramente sono: vampiri che succhiano non il sangue ma l'energia vitale delle proprie vittime, coloro che vengono morsi si trasformano a loro volta in ripugnanti cadaveri-vampiri. In breve tempo Londra piomba nel caos più totale.
The space shuttle Churchill is assigned to observe the Halley's Comet under the command of Col. Tom Carlsen. They see a strange form attached to the comet and Carlsen goes with a team to investigate. They find three humanoid life forms in caskets and they bring them to the Churchill. However, Earth loses contact with the shuttle and the Space Research Center sends another spacecraft to search the Churchill. They find the crew dead and the shuttle burnt and one rescue pod missing. They bring the humanoids to Earth and soon Dr. Hans Fallada and his team discover that the Space Girl is a sort of vampire and drains the life force from people transforming them into zombies. When the authorities find that Col. Tom Carlsen has survived, they summon him to explain what happened in the Churchill. Carlsen tells an incredible story about the three aliens and he teams up with Col. Colin Caine trying to save mankind from the evil vampires from the space.
