Kathy, Tommy e Ruth sono tre alunni di Hailsham, un collegio immerso nella campagna inglese e completamente isolato dal mondo esterno. In questo ambiente, apparentemente idilliaco, i tre ragazzi crescono sviluppando un legame che durerà per tutta la vita: Ruth e Kathy stringono una forte amicizia, mentre Tommy, pur nutrendo grande simpatia per Kathy, si fidanza con Ruth......................
As children, Ruth, Kathy and Tommy spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.....................
