Sarah è una quindicenne figlia di genitori separati; la madre è una attrice famosa, mentre il padre si è risposato con una donna che lei non accetta (in realtà la matrigna non è ostile, anzi cerca a volte di aiutarla ma lei rifiuta ogni contatto) e si rifugia costantemente in un mondo di fiabe e balocchi.
