Trama
Cinque anni dopo la morte della moglie in un incidente automobilistico, Frank Bannister si è scoperto in grado di parlare con gli spiriti.
Con tre fantasmi in particolare è in confidenza, il Giudice, Cyrus e Stuart.
Frank frequenta i funerali e, con l'aiuto dei tre amici, si qualifica come medium in grado di organizzare esorcismi.
Ventidue persone sono decedute di recente in città, morti inspiegabili che fanno pensare ad una demoniaca presenza.
Un agente FBI punta i suoi sospetti su Frank, il quale poi scorge il n. 23 sulla nuca della dottoressa Lucy, vedova, di cui si è innamorato...
