Quando incisero il disco, il mercato del jazz era dominato dal sottogenere fusion,
per questo motivo e solo per questo le vendite furono modeste.
Il meglio di Chet come vocalista è "Chet Baker Sings" (1954),ma il meglio di Chet come musicista lo si trova a mio avviso in questo album,
personale, introspettivo, dal suono minimalista ma ottimo.
Accompagnato dal sax di Paul Desmond, dal piano elettrico di Bob James e dal basso suonato da Ron Carter. |
