Trama
Il sergente Dave Bannion indaga sul presunto suicidio di un ex collega di nome Duncan. Grazie all'aiuto di Lucy, una ragazza amica del morto, Bannion scopre che Duncan era sul libro paga del boss Lagana.
Dopo il colloquio con Bannion, Lucy viene assassinata. Per questo motivo l'inchiesta gli viene sottratta, ma il detective decide di proseguire le indagini da solo.
In un attentato progettato ai suoi danni, resta invece uccisa sua moglie.
