Trama
Miriam e John sono marito e moglie. Quando lui comincia ad invecchiare ad una velocità spaventosa, si rivolge a Sarah, una dottoressa famosa per i suoi studi sull'invecchiamento, scongiurandola di fare qualcosa per fermare quel processo che sembra inarrestabile. La dottoressa, in un primo tempo lo crede un mitomane ma poi, quando si accorge del suo sbaglio, è troppo tardi. Ormai John, alla fine dei suoi giorni, viene chiuso in una bara da Miriam, che non può fare niente per lui. Miriam è un vampiro, che trecento anni prima aveva sposato John promettendogli l'eterna giovinezza, ma anche lui, come gli altri amanti in precedenza, era destinato a morire, perché l'immortalità totale appartiene soltanto a Miriam.
