Trama
Le tormentate storie d'amore di una famiglia borghese progressista ( la crisi di una coppia di giovani fidanzati sul punto di sposarsi, il divorziato Allen scopre di essere ancora innamorato della ex moglie, le prime storie della sorella più grande) s'intrecciano tra New York, Venezia e Parigi.
Peripezie sentimentali di una famiglia ricca, eccentrica e liberal di New York durante una trasferta in Europa, tra Venezia e Parigi. È la prima commedia musicale di un autore-attore che ha sempre fatto un cinema zeppo di canzoni. È una romantic comedy con vecchi trucchi e nuovi effetti speciali (anche il ricorso alla "computer graphic" ) in cui si parla d'amore e sull'amore si mette l'accento: amori che nascono, amori che passano. Il romance stinge nella malinconia, ma il sessantenne W. Allen ha la malinconia generosa: sull'amore fa intenerire, ma anche sorridere o ridere: "... in Allen parlare di cuore significa necessariamente parlare anche di testa, anzi di cervello..."
