| Descrizione | X-Men le origini - Wolverine (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) ? un film del 2009 diretto da Gavin Hood, dedicato a Wolverine, supereroe dei fumetti della Marvel Comics. Si tratta di uno spin-off della serie di film sugli X-Men.
Canada, 1845. James Howlett ? un ricco bambino dalla salute cagionevole, con la sola compagnia di Victor, il figlio adolescente del giardiniere della villa di famiglia: una notte quest'ultimo irrompe ubriaco in casa litigando con Elizabeth Howlett, la madre di James; il padre John va a vedere che succede e si ode una fucilata. James corre gi? e trova il padre morto. Lo shock innesca l'apparizione dei suoi poteri mutanti e per la prima volta estrae degli artigli ossei. Il giovane si getta contro il giardiniere e lo trafigge; il giardiniere muore rivelando al giovane James che, in realt?, ? suo figlio e che l'uomo morto a terra ? sempre stato un impostore. La madre ? terrorizzata e disgustata dai poteri del figlio e questi ? costretto a fuggire. Durante la fuga viene raggiunto da Victor, il quale gli spiega che ormai loro sono fratelli e, come tali, dovranno proteggersi a vicenda per sempre...
