Trama
Perché la morte e la violenza attraggono tanto? E' moralmente lecita l'esibizione della violenza nei film? In ogni caso fino a che punto si può mostrarla? Ecco l'argomento della tesi di Angela, che studia in una scuola di cinema a Madrid. Insieme al suo collega Chema, che è un appassionato di film violenti, Angela si mette alla ricerca di chi ha girato uno 'snuff movie' nel quale la protagonista è torturata fino alla morte.
Il film di debutto di Alejandro Amenábar è un piccolo gioiello degli anni 90 che rende ancor più insipido il suo film più famoso, "The Others".
"Tesis" racchiude nel finale una indagine sociologica che va ben oltre il soggetto stesso del film.
