| Descrizione | Tony Manero is six years older, and having left Brooklyn is now living in Manhattan staying in a flophouse while he works as a dance instructor and as a waiter at a dance club, looking for his big break in the modern dance productions on Broadway. Tony lands a role in the chorus of a new production called \"Satan\'s Alley\" starring wealthy English dancer Laura (Finola Hughes), whom he seduces only to find that he is the one who has been used. Tony\'s girlfriend Jackie (Cynthia Rhodes), sick of being considered second best dumps him, and he soon realizes how cruel he has been. Tony sees an opportunity to replace the lead male dancer and asking Jackie to help succeeds, resulting in an intense dancing chemistry between Tony and Laura which climaxes on opening night.
Tony Manero ha abbandonato la casa natia, oltre l\'East River di New York, per trasferirsi a Manhattan, nel cuore della grande città in attesa di ottenere un posto di ballerino su qualche palcoscenico di Broadway. Intanto è fidanzato con Jackie, una ballerina di fila e sbarca il lunario facendo il cameriere di sera in un ristorante. E\' la fidanzata Jackie che presenta Tony alle selezioni per uno spettacolo in allestimento. La prima ballerina di questo spettacolo è la ricca e capricciosa Laura. Tra Tony e Laura nasce una simpatia che finisce in una notte d\'amore. Nel frattempo riprendono la prove per lo spettacolo Satan\'s Alley. Il primo ballerino delude con le sue mediocri prestazioni e il coreografo, che ha già messo gli occhi su Tony, lo invita a sostituirlo. Inizia così il folgorante trionfo di Tony. |
