Trama
"Insomma, sei diventato matto tutto insieme oppure è stato un processo lento e graduale?"
Sconvolto dalla morte violenta della moglie, un prof. di storia medievale si fa barbone alla deriva e va alla ricerca del Santo Graal tra i grattacieli di New York. L'aiuta un disc-jockey che si sente indirettamente responsabile della sua disgrazia. Storia di amicizia e di amore in cui la commedia si mescola al dramma e al melodramma, il realismo alla fantasia, il sentimentalismo alla violenza, i grattacieli e i bassifondi metropolitani ai castelli e ai cavalieri del Medioevo.
