Ispirata al romanzo Un caso complicato per l'avvocato Ligas. Perdenti di Gianluca Ferraris, e segue le sfide professionali e personali di Ligas tra processi, conflitti etici e rapporti umani all'interno del mondo della giustizia penale milanese.

Milano. Dopo essere stato estromesso da un importante studio legale, Ligas è costretto a ripartire da zero, accettando casi complessi e spesso impopolari. Dotato di grande intuito e carisma, costruisce difese audaci e strategie imprevedibili, muovendosi tra aule di tribunale, media e giochi di potere.

Al suo fianco lavora la giovane praticante Marta Carati, che rappresenta una visione più idealista della giustizia, in contrasto con il pragmatismo disincantato del suo mentore. Sul fronte opposto, il pubblico ministero Anna Maria Pastori diventa la sua principale antagonista, dando vita a scontri professionali ad alta tensione.
