Sheriff Country è una serie tv statunitense spin-off del drama di successo Fire Country. Creato dagli ideatori di quest'ultima Joan Rater, Tony Phelan e Max Thieriot, con Thieriot anche protagonista della serie ammiraglia, il poliziesco segue Mickey Fox (interpretata dalla star di Gotham Morena Baccarin), lo sceriffo dell'immaginaria Contea di Edgewater, indagare su attività criminali mentre deve vedersela con un padre ex detenuto e un misterioso incidente che coinvolge la figlia ribelle.

Wes (W. Earl Brown, Preacher), il padre di Mickey e il patrigno della Sharon Leone di Fire Country, è un coltivatore di marijuana riservato e fuori dagli schemi che vive una vita in semi-reclusione sulle montagne di Edgewater, permettendo solo a pochi eletti di conoscere il luogo della sua attività. I suoi affari illeciti sono causa di tensioni con Mickey. Wes, tuttavia, è gentile e generoso verso la sua famiglia, in particolare verso la nipote Sky (Amanda Arcuri, Hudson & Rex). Quest'ultima è una ragazza intelligente ma problematica, sensibile ma incline all'autosabotaggio. Dopo quattro mesi di sobrietà, Skye è attratta da un ragazzo che mette a repentaglio la sua guarigione.
