La prima incarnazione dei Bronski Beat si è sviluppata in un breve ma intenso periodo, dall'aprile del 1984 con "Smalltown Boy" fino al settembre del 1985 con il loro album di remix post-split "Hundreds And Thousands". Con un omaggio all'originale "Hundreds And Thousands", e in seguito alle edizioni per il 40° anniversario di "The Age of Consent" dello scorso anno, la London Records annuncia un nuovissimo album dei Bronski Beat: "Forbidden Fruit - The Age Of Consent Remixed". L'album presenta nuove rielaborazioni di artisti del calibro di Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Erasure), Kinky Roland (Boy George, Marc Almond) e altri, oltre a esclusive versioni estese dei remix del 2024 di Superchumbo (con Neil Tennant) e The Knocks (con Perfume Genius).
