Fu un vero successo quando #KushandOrangeJuice divenne l'argomento di tendenza numero uno su Twitter dopo l'uscita dell'ottavo mixtape di Wiz Khalifa nell'aprile del 2010, quando "hashtag" e "argomenti di tendenza" erano strumenti promozionali all'avanguardia. All'epoca, era praticamente inaudito che un rapper senza un contratto con una major potesse avere un successo così grande (aveva lasciato la sua precedente etichetta, la Warner Bros., nel 2009). Ma c'era qualcosa di confortante nel modo rilassato in cui il rapper di Pittsburgh dagli occhi rossi rappava sui temi fondamentali delle chiacchiere universitarie: erba, donne, auto, feste... Abbiamo già parlato di erba? Oggi, Kush & Orange Juice è considerato un classico dell'"era dei blog", un ritorno a un'epoca più rilassata e semplice.
