Il pianista e compositore Gerald Clayton torna con il suo terzo album per la Blue Note, Ones & Twos, con il vibrafonista Joel Ross, la flautista Elena Pinderhughes, il trombettista Marquis Hill e il batterista Kendrick Scott, con la post-produzione di Kassa Overall. L'album è un esperimento, un'idea ispirata all'arte del turntablism, con Clayton che si propone di creare un disco in cui il lato A possa essere suonato simultaneamente con il lato B, un omaggio a quel momento in discoteca in cui il DJ passa da una canzone all'altra e si ascoltano due brani separati contemporaneamente.
