PLOT
D'Artagnan and his Musketeer comrades thwart the plans of Cardinal Richelieu to usurp King Louis XIII's power. The hectic adventures of D'Artagnan (Gene Kelly), a young provincial noble who came to Paris to become a Musketeer.
TRAMA
"Nell'anno di nostro Signore 1625, mentre l'intrigo e il tradimento dominavano la vita di Francia, un campagnolo della Guascogna, senza presagirlo, si accingeva a mettere in subbuglio quel mondo corrotto": il campagnolo, naturalmente, è D'Artagnan (Gene Kelly), che, appena giunto a Parigi, conosce tumultuosamente i tre moschettieri del re ("Vi darò l'opportunità di lavare l'offesa dietro al Lussemburgo a mezzodì", l'altro lo attende "ai Carmelitani Scalzi all'una" e il terzo "dietro al Louvre alle due"...) e, unitosi a loro, si imbarca in una missione disperata per recuperare i gioielli della regina.
