TRAMA - PLOT

La trama segue fedelmente il romanzo di Alexandre Dumas. Edmond Dantès, un giovane e promettente marinaio, viene ingiustamente accusato di tradimento e imprigionato nel terribile Château d'If a causa di un complotto ordito da coloro che invidiavano il suo successo e la sua felicità.
Durante i lunghi anni di prigionia, Edmond stringe amicizia con un altro detenuto, l'Abate Faria, che gli rivela l'esistenza di un favoloso tesoro nascosto sull'isola di Montecristo. Dopo una spettacolare fuga dal carcere, Dantès recupera il tesoro e, sotto la nuova identità del misterioso e ricchissimo Conte di Montecristo, ritorna nella società parigina con un solo scopo: vendicarsi di coloro che lo hanno tradito.

During his years of harsh imprisonment, Edmond befriends a fellow prisoner, Abbé Faria, who educates him and reveals the location of a hidden treasure on the island of Montecristo. After a daring escape, Edmond recovers the treasure and reinvents himself as the mysterious and wealthy Count of Monte Cristo.
Armed with vast resources and a new identity, he returns to Parisian society with a single objective: to seek revenge on those who betrayed him.
