Da quando è esploso sulla scena con l'album acclamato dalla critica 'Roll Away' della sua band Back Door Slam nel 2007 ("Ho sentito lo spirito di Jimi Hendrix" Patrick McDonald - Seattle Times), la stella di Davy non ha fatto che crescere. Il suo secondo album 'Coming Up For Air' è stato prodotto dal leggendario Peter Frampton ("Davy ha già uno stile riconoscibile. È sicuramente il chitarrista pistolero del 21° secolo,''- Peter Frampton), con tour successivi che lo hanno visto supportare e condividere il palco con artisti come Jeff Beck, The Who, Joe Bonamassa, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Brian Setzer, il supergruppo Chickenfoot guidato da Sammy Hagar e l'eroe della chitarra Joe Satriani che ha definito Davy "Il mio bluesman moderno preferito".
