Into The Light è il nuovo cofanetto da 6CD degli Whitesnake, ed è basato sui tre dischi solisti di David Coverdale. L'album Into The Light è stato originariamente pubblicato come terzo album solista di David Coverdale, nel settembre 2000, ed è stato il suo primo disco solista in 22 anni. Ora verrà pubblicato remixato con tracce extra e presentato come un album dei Whitesnake. Con una formazione musicale impressionante, in Into The Light David è affiancato dai chitarristi Earl Slick e Doug Bossi, dal bassista Marco Mendoza, che più tardi si unirà ai Whitesnake, dal leggendario batterista Denny Carmassi, che oltre ai Whitesnake, ha suonato con Montrose e Heart, e Mike Finningan alle tastiere, che aveva già suonato con Jimi Hendrix negli anni '60. Oltre a tantissime canzoni inedite e tracce bonus, il set include Too Many Tears, una canzone che David ha scritto con Adrian Vandenberg e originariamente inclusa nellalbum Restless Heart dei Whitesnake. Sono incluse anche "River Song", il tributo di David a Jimi Hendrix, e "With All Of My Heart", una canzone che David ha scritto per sua moglie e, secondo le sue stesse parole, una delle dieci migliori canzoni che ha scritto. Into The Light contiene anche i singoli Slave, Love Is Blind e Dont You Cry. Il cofanetto includerà anche i primi due dischi solisti di David, WhiteSnake MCMLXXVII del 1977 e NorthWinds del 1978, i due titoli che registrò subito dopo aver lasciato i Deep Purple nel 1976, sia in forma remixata, ampliata e rimasterizzata.
