Sh?gun è una miniserie televisiva statunitense rappresenta un’interpretazione moderna e coinvolgente del bestseller di James Clavell, un’autentica pietra miliare nella narrativa storica.
Sh?gun narra la storia di Lord Yoshii Toranaga, interpretato magistralmente da Hiroyuki Sanada, un personaggio che lotta per la sua vita mentre i suoi avversari nel Consiglio dei Reggenti cospirano contro di lui. L’arrivo di John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis), un pilota inglese trovato su una nave europea misteriosamente abbandonata in un villaggio di pescatori, introduce una svolta inaspettata.
