Il Kenshiro di questa serie è ben diverso da quello che siamo abituati a conoscere, taciturno e a tratti scostante, seppur di buon cuore.
Lo zio di Kenshiro è infatti spavaldo, molto sicuro di sé e quasi attaccabrighe. Il Kenshiro degli anni 30, inoltre, fuma come un dannato ed
è già padrone di quasi tutte le tecniche di Hokuto, a differenza del Kenshiro originale che riesce a utilizzarle solo dopo che gli incessanti
combattimenti ne avranno temprato lo spirito.
