Quattro amici quarantenni ? Pietro, Enrico, Ascanio e Jacopo ? vengono chiamati a Lisbona per il funerale di Amalia, la donna che tutti e quattro hanno amato da ragazzi quando facevano l'Erasmus in Portogallo. Amalia ha lasciato un'inaspettata eredità: un figlio concepito con uno di loro. Ma chi è il padre? Aspettando i risultati del test del dna, i quattro amici decidono di andare alla ricerca del misterioso figlio ventenne e intraprendono un rocambolesco ed emozionante viaggio attraverso il Portogallo insieme a una ragazza che si offre di aiutarli.
