Trama:

“Presunto innocente” è una miniserie di otto episodi interpretata e prodotta da Jake Gyllenhaal, ideata da David E. Kelley e dal produttore esecutivo J.J. Abrams e basata sull'omonimo romanzo di Scott Turow, bestseller del New York Times. Con Gyllenhaal nel ruolo principale del vice procuratore capo Rusty Sabich, la serie conduce gli spettatori in un viaggio avvincente attraverso un orribile omicidio che getta nel caso l'ufficio del procuratore di Chicago quando un dipendente viene sospettato del crimine. La serie parla di ossessione, sesso, politica, potere e dei limiti dell'amore. L'accusato dovrà lottare per tenere unita la propria famiglia. Nel cast stellare di questo thriller figurano anche Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle e Renate Reinsve.
