L'organizzazione criminale 'Spectre' sta progettando il suo più grande colpo: impadronirsi di bombe atomiche e ricattare le potenze della NATO: se non avranno un riscatto di un milione di sterline utilizzerano gli ordigni contro due grandi città. Prima di soddisfare i ricattatori, l'Inghilterra si affida al suo uomo migliore, James Bond, il quale viene ben presto a contatto con Largo, il numero uno della 'Spectre'. Bond conquista una giovane donna, Domino, amica di Largo, dimostrandole che il suo protettore ha assassinato il fratello. In base alle indicazioni della ragazza, 007 penetra nel deposito sottomarino nel momento in cui gli uomini della 'Spectre' si apprestano a trasferire le bombe sullo yacht di Largo. Scoppia una furiosa battaglia, anche stavolta Bond ne uscirà vincitore?
