Una compilation rilasciata anche al di fuori degli Stati Uniti, compreso il Regno Unito.
In pratica "The Ultimate Collection" copre la carriera di Whitney Houston sino all'uscita nel 1998 di "My Love Is Your Love", album che contiene la maggior parte dei singoli di spessore pubblicati nel corso degli anni '80 e '90.
Si tratta di un insieme abbastanza semplice, anche se ci sono alcune miscele alternative al posto di versioni originali (tra cui "I'm Your Baby Tonight" , che non è annotato sulla parte esterna della confezione.
Alcuni hanno considerato un difetto le esclusioni di alcuni pezzi importanti come "Miracle", "You Give Good Love", "I Believe in You and Me" e "All the Man That I Need" , tutti brani che sono stati nella Top Ten R & B dei "single" negli Stati Uniti. Ma più che una questione di scelta, l'esclusione è da considerare dovuta solo a una questione di spazio.
Album godibile come la pressoché totale discografia di questa grande artista che ha raggiunto grande fama e successo ma non la propria tranquillità interiore.
