Bussano Alla Porta è il nuovo film diretto da M. Night Shyamalan.
La piccola Wen (Kristen Cui) e i suoi due papà, Eric e Andrew (Jonathan Groff e Ben Aldridge), decidono di trascorrere qualche giorno in una casa isolata in mezzo ai boschi, completamente circondati e immersi nella natura. Mentre sta giocando nella foresta, però, Wen si imbatte in un grosso e robusto uomo di nome Leonard (Dave Bautista), che si pone in modo gentile e sembra interessato a parlare con lei. Poco dopo l'arrivo di Leonard, Wen nota che altre tre persone (Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird e Abby Quinn) si stanno avvicinando, tutti con in mano diversi strumenti e oggetti.
Wen corre a casa ad avvertire i suoi genitori dell'imminente minaccia rappresentata dai quattro sconosciuti, ma i suoi papà credono che sia tutto frutto della fantasia della bambina e non le danno importanza. I due, però, dovranno ricredersi quando i quattro estranei busseranno alla loro porta, intenzionati a entrare in ogni modo possibile. Una volta fatta irruzione nella casa, Wen, Eric e Andrew vengono presi in ostaggio dai quattro sconosciuti armati, che chiedono alla famiglia di compiere una scelta impensabile per evitare l'Apocalisse: sacrificare uno di loro tre.
Non solo uno tra la bambina e i suoi papà deve morire, ma dovrà essere uno dei due mariti o la stessa Wen a uccidere la vittima prescelta. Con un accesso limitato al mondo esterno, la famiglia deve decidere se credere davvero alle parole dei quattro improvvisatisi Cavalieri dell'Apocalisse prima che tutto sia perduto
